Frequently asked questions
What does a private move cost?
It depends mainly on distance, the size of your home and the scope you choose – from transport only to a full service with packing, assembly and storage. For local moves, a rough guide is from about €1,500 (30 m³) or from €2,300 (50 m³). In every case you receive a binding fixed-price quote with no hidden costs – after a free consultation.
Do you also offer a part-load service for single items?
Yes. With our part-load service we transport single items affordably too – for example a family heirloom or the piano for your granddaughter. You then pay only for the loading space actually used instead of for a whole truck.
Do you handle the packing, or do I just get the material?
Whatever you prefer. We professionally pack your entire household and unpack it again at the destination – or we deliver optimal packing material in advance and collect the packed boxes on time. You choose what you’d like to do yourself.
Do you also dismantle and reassemble my kitchen?
Our teams dismantle simple kitchens themselves and reassemble them at the new home. For complex fitted kitchens we work together with the kitchen studio and take care of safe transport.
Do you arrange no-parking zones and special permits?
Yes. On request we apply for the necessary no-parking zones and special permits for the parking areas outside the old and new home – so the truck can park right at the door on moving day.
Can I store furniture or household goods with you?
Yes. Anything you’d like to keep but can’t (yet) take with you, we store safely in our video-monitored, heated container warehouse – from everyday items to valuable antiques, carefully packed and protected from unauthorised access.
Are my belongings insured?
Yes. Every move is covered by the statutory carrier liability of €620 per cubic metre. On request we arrange extended transport insurance at replacement value, so you receive the full value in the event of damage.
How early should I enquire about my move?
We recommend 4–6 weeks’ lead time, earlier in peak season (summer, end of month). Thanks to our own teams and fleet, short-notice dates are often still possible – simply make a no-obligation enquiry.
