We work with permanent, fairly paid staff and our own fleet instead of subcontractors.
Would you rather avoid the many official tasks around a move within NRW? With our relocation service we take care of that for you – for job-related moves and employee assignments as well as for private customers who want to save time. We handle, among other things, finding a home and checking the tenancy agreement, registration and re-registration at the citizens’ office of your NRW city, day-care and school places, bank account and insurance, and connecting electricity, internet & co. What does a move in NRW cost?
The cost depends mainly on the volume, distance, floor level and the services you choose. After a personal consultation you receive a binding fixed-price quote with no hidden costs. As a guide, here are our reference prices for local moves within an NRW city (up to approx. 50 km):
Note: This guide price is not a binding offer and serves only for orientation. The final price is determined by further factors – e.g. the carrying distance for loading and unloading, heavy-item transport (such as a piano or safe), furniture assembly, floor or lift, and any additional services requested.
Rule of thumb: roughly half of your living space in m² equals the volume in m³ (100 m² ≈ 50 m³); 1 m³ is about 10 moving boxes. Different guide prices apply for regional moves, long-distance moves, office moves and storage – simply ask us.

No-parking zone in NRW – we take care of it
Especially in the densely built-up city centres and old quarters of North Rhine-Westphalia – such as Cologne’s Südstadt, Düsseldorf’s old town or Dortmund’s Kreuzviertel – a clear loading area right in front of the door is worth its weight in gold. A no-parking zone means short carrying distances and a faster, gentler move.
On request we apply for the no-parking zone and any special permits with the responsible city for you – whether in Cologne, Düsseldorf, Essen, Münster or Bielefeld – and put up the signs in good time. In suburban locations and residential areas with good parking it is often not necessary; we advise you individually based on your moving address in NRW.

What does a move in NRW cost?
The cost depends on volume, distance, floor level and the services you choose. For local moves within an NRW city (up to approx. 50 km), guide prices are around €1,500 from 30 m³ (about a 2–3-room flat) and from €2,300 from 50 m³. For longer routes between the Rhineland, the Ruhr area and East Westphalia you receive your binding fixed price after a personal consultation.

How much volume (cubic metres) does my move have?
As a rule of thumb, about half of your living space equals the moving volume: 100 m² ≈ 50 m³. A single household is around 15–20 m³, a 2–3-room flat 30–40 m³ and a larger family household 50–70 m³. 1 m³ is roughly 10 moving boxes.
Do I get a fixed price for my move in NRW?
Yes. After a personal consultation you receive a binding fixed-price quote with no hidden costs. Before you place the order it is clear which services will be provided and what they cost – whether the move takes place within Cologne or runs from the Ruhr area to East Westphalia.
Are my belongings insured during transport?
Yes. Every move is covered by the statutory carrier liability of €620 per cubic metre. On request we arrange extended transport insurance at the replacement value of your household goods, so your belongings are fully protected even on the longer routes within NRW.
Do you also handle packing and the kitchen?
Yes. On request we professionally pack your entire household and deliver the right packing material in advance. We dismantle simple kitchens ourselves and reassemble them at your new home; for complex units we coordinate the kitchen studio and handle the safe transport.
Can you transport single items only (part load)?
Yes. With our part-load (beiladung) service we transport individual pieces – such as a family heirloom or a piano – space-savingly on an already planned route through NRW. This is an economical solution when there is no need to move an entire household.
Who takes care of the no-parking zone and special permits in NRW cities?
We do, on request. In densely built-up city centres such as Cologne, Düsseldorf or Dortmund we apply for the no-parking zone and any special permits for parking areas with the responsible city and put up the signs in good time, so the truck can stand right in front of your door.
Can I also store my belongings in NRW?
Yes. In our video-monitored, heatable container storage we keep your belongings short or long term – from household goods to antiques, safely packed and protected from unauthorised access. A storage container (approx. 32.5 m³) holds about a 2–3-room household.
How early should I enquire about my move in NRW?
We recommend enquiring about your move 4–6 weeks in advance – earlier during the peak season from June to August. Thanks to our own teams and fleet and the short routes from Paderborn, short-notice dates in many NRW regions are often still possible.
